I have joined the world of the Living!!! [Hi-Def Edition]

I gave into a moment of temptation and bought a Blu-Ray player. And by temptation I mean that Future Shop had a Free IRON MAN Blu-Ray w/Purchase promo going on. Damn Clinique has made me a slave to the Gift with Purchase! Well getting to see Robert Downey Jr. in 1080P glory is definitely a Gift in it of itself.

BONUS: I also picked up BULLITT. What can I say? I can't pass up a fantastic classic remastered. Plus you never pass up eternal hottie Steve McQueen. Ms.Sheryl wouldn't stand for it!

A Marvelous Summer of Singlets!

Ed Norton knows that to be a true Marvel hero he's got to look good in a singlet.
While The Hulk is one hot steroid tranny mess Bruce Banner is quite easy on the eyes.

Robbie D had a cornucopia of singlet action going on in Iron Man.
I mean seriously I actually pulled out a pen and notepad to keep track. Is it a coincidence that the movie was excellent? Um I doin't think so.

And the original Marvel movie singlet- Hugh Jackman as Logan in X-Men.
Ladies and Gents this is as good as it gets.

PC Wish List: A Vonda Shepard cameo in Iron Man 2

Why? Because it would be the shit.
Vonda could say "I am Iron Man" with her trademark jazzy piano accompaniment.
Samuel L. was great and all but you know Vonda showing up would be like a sign of the second coming.
Ah what a great day in cinematic history that would be.

Pop Culture Case Study-Part 2:Robert Downey Jr.

Another Fantastic Music Man is a Great Movie Superhero ....

I really don’t have to go into how absolutely perfect Robert DJ is for Iron Man but I’m going to anyways. Let’s take a gander at his Wikipedia entry and see how he compares to Tony Stark/Iron Man.

• Born in New York-----CHECK!
• Followed in Daddy’s footsteps----CHECK!
Alcoholic-----DOUBLE CHECK!!!
• Childhood friend of Moby---Well I guess Robert “wins” that one.

Musical Cred
• Unless you were living under a rock in the late 90’s you have to know what Ally McBeal is. If you’re learned you will actually have seen some episodes of Ally. But if you’re truly blessed, you saw the 14 episodes that he did in Season 4 plus a cameo in Season 5 (thanks IMDB!!!). There was singing, dancing, and of course Vonda Shepard.
• He released his first album “The Futurist” in 2005. Sadly with no Vonda on it!
• And his duet with Sting on Ally still brings me to tears.
