The Mane Event-Robert Pattinson's Hair for Best Supporting Actor

I usually leave all the Oscar Recommendations to Blog Next Door but I saw Twilight (read:and survived) and my duty to the sanctity of Pop Culture won't let me to abide without comment.
Much like Tom Hanks' BFF Wilson the Volleyball Rob's hair transcends that which is inanimate (his character Vamp Edward Cullens) into something that is full of soul (and by appearences B&B's Sumotech). Whenever the movie got a little too Fangsty for me (due in large part to copius overacting) I knew I could just count on the hair to whisk my mind away to the editorials of V-Man or Vogue Homme. But seriously, Rob's hair out-acted (long seen-or-heard from) Peter Facinelli in the movie. To be as accurate as possible his hair out-acted everyone in this movie except perhaps TV guest star-staple Billy Burke who thankfully checked all his sentimentality at the door to play dad to Vampstinent Lover, Bella. This people, is why we go to the movies.

A Pom a Day Keeps the Doctor Away-Jonny Lee Miller

Me and Jonny go way back. As in his feature debut "Hackers" back. Watching him on Eli Stone is an oddly surreal experience simply because I have followed his career for such a long time. And yes if you're wondering I have seen the hot mess that is Dracula 2000. I remember back in the day when he was with Natalie Appleton from 'All Saints' and hanging with BFF Jude Law. Does knowing all that make me a loser? Maybe. But I like to think of it as just being really thorough. Who knows he may appear in a game of Trivial Pursuit sometime. Ok so enough of my confession of a dangerous mind and let me get to the pic.
Come on those sad puppy dog eyes are just fantastic.

A Pom a Day Keeps the Doctor Away-James Purefoy

I seriously cannot get over how underrated James Purefoy is in America. It's just not right! I'm super excited for his Saint reboot though I doubt it's going to get much play in the US. I think most people weren't too impressed with Val Kilmer and Elizabeth Shue's take on The Saint. Though I'll always argue that I'm sure that they were going for a pastishe rather than a remake. But alas they're bringing in a proper bloke to fill in the (always stylish) shoes of Roger Moore. And what a proper bloke indeed. And if you haven't seen Bedrooms & Hallways do yourself a big favor and rent it. I mean seriously how can you go wrong with James Purefoy having a romp with his Rome co-star (& certified Hottie) Kevin McKidd? Answer: You can't

A Pom a Day Keeps the Doctor Away-Alex Pettyfer

I, like 300 million other Americans, missed Alex Rider:Stormbreaker when it was in theaters. But thanks to cable I can right that past wrong. Quick Review: Hilariously ridiculous. I seriously could not stop laughing. Especially when Alicia Silverston was on screen. Oh how the mighty have fallen! But luckily it wasn't a waste of time beacuse it stars two of my favorite hotties ever: Ewan McGregor & Bill Nighy. And it introduced me to a new hottie: Alex Pettyfer. And he just turned 18 today so this is (now) not a crime.

A Pom a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

The Ministry of Health @ Pop Colony would like to introduce a new initiative.
Super simple concept: a hot English guy every single day. Because looking at hot guys is good for your health.

The inaugural pommie:
DANIEL CRAIG
GQ UK recently named Daniel Craig the Best Dressed Man in the UK. That's good and all but I really prefer Mr.Craig when he's not dressed.

WTF Moments in Pop Culture: Will Chalker @ #34 on Models.com is unacceptable

Will Chalker is #34 on Models.com list of the top 50 models. That means that there are 33 "better" male models. This cannot be true. And I, Pop Colony, will prove it scientifically for the sake of all that is good in the world.

Exhibit A:
He's gone down the runway with a frakkin baby tiger in his hands.
Exhibit B:
Expertly pulls off a cowboy hat without resorting to irony.
Exhibit C:
I didn't even know Paco Rabanne was still around. But now I am indebted to them for providing the best window dressing for Sears on Robson ever.

I rest my case.
So Models.com get your act together and put Will in his rightful place at #1.
