POP COLONY PSA: Wearing ED HARDY makes you a Douchebag

When we look back at the trends of the 2000s (or as they will become known-Crimes Against Humanity) we're going to have to come to terms with a decade long obsession with trucker "chic". Von Dutch trucker hats, Chopper crap, John Deere shirts, and now thanks to Ed Hardy: tattoo clothing have plagued our malls and other sacred places.

I mean seriously, WTF?

Tattoos are ugly enough on the skin so putting them on hoodies and hats isn't going to make me like them (tattoos or the tattee) any better. I guess this whole trucker thing is an unfortunate manifestation of people's new found awareness of "irony". Should we blame Alanis? Of course not! She did give us the non-Freemasons version of "Uninvited". But see the kicker is that their is no inherent irony in wearing Trucker inspired paraphernalia. Why? Because by wearing trashy clothing you yourself becomes trashy. And in the case of Ed Hardy: you become a douchebag.

So Pop Colonists please avoid wearing any Ed Hardy.

And remember Pop Colonists don't let other Pop Colonists become douchebags.
