NYCC-A Moonlight Serenade

My Oh My those Moonlight boys are quite an eyeful! The panel was surprisingly a lot of fun with -dare I say- cute tons of banter between Alex & Jason. I personally believe that they've got the best chemistry on the show. It felt kind of like seeing Veronica and Logan again. Seriously CBS, Season 2 needs to see these two hook up! Fandom-let the fanfic run free!

NYCC- 4:20 with Kumar & NPH

The Harold & Kumar go to Guantanamo Bay panel was on.......wait for it........4:20! How awesome was that? Well it was Super Awesome. The clips they showed us were absolutely brilliant and seizure-inducing funny. Definitely one to catch this Friday April 25th.

NYCC-Breakfast with the Narnia Blokes

Well more like Brunch but who cares! Ben Barnes and William Mosley were at the Narnia panel looking hot as per usual. No more words now just pics.

A Pom a Day Keeps the Doctor Away-Jonny Lee Miller

Me and Jonny go way back. As in his feature debut "Hackers" back. Watching him on Eli Stone is an oddly surreal experience simply because I have followed his career for such a long time. And yes if you're wondering I have seen the hot mess that is Dracula 2000. I remember back in the day when he was with Natalie Appleton from 'All Saints' and hanging with BFF Jude Law. Does knowing all that make me a loser? Maybe. But I like to think of it as just being really thorough. Who knows he may appear in a game of Trivial Pursuit sometime. Ok so enough of my confession of a dangerous mind and let me get to the pic.
Come on those sad puppy dog eyes are just fantastic.

Gwyneth Says "Bring Me the Head of Tony Stark!"

I've got to give major props to Vogue for actually putting an explicit comic book reference on the cover. Seriously who doesn't pair their Iron Man cosplay with Oscar de la Renta? Now if they'd only get Robert Downey Jr. to do a Men's Vogue cover as Tony Stark. I mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the man likes his bespoke!

Re:Blurb-I'm sad to see that Gwyneth has to "juggle" Chris. I mean he looks like a nice bloke and all even if his music does put me to sleep.

A Pom a Day Keeps the Doctor Away-James Purefoy

I seriously cannot get over how underrated James Purefoy is in America. It's just not right! I'm super excited for his Saint reboot though I doubt it's going to get much play in the US. I think most people weren't too impressed with Val Kilmer and Elizabeth Shue's take on The Saint. Though I'll always argue that I'm sure that they were going for a pastishe rather than a remake. But alas they're bringing in a proper bloke to fill in the (always stylish) shoes of Roger Moore. And what a proper bloke indeed. And if you haven't seen Bedrooms & Hallways do yourself a big favor and rent it. I mean seriously how can you go wrong with James Purefoy having a romp with his Rome co-star (& certified Hottie) Kevin McKidd? Answer: You can't

A Pom a Day Keeps the Doctor Away-Anthony Stewart Head

The man was on two of my all time favorite shows: Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Little Britain.
Is there anything better than watching ASH sing "Standing"?

I love when Buffy deflects the dagger with her hand. I've tried the same move but I deflect Vanilla lattes thrown by hostile Starbucks baristas.
And then there're all the "Standing" Fan Vids. I especially like this BSG Papa & Son Adama one:

Sadiddy Segment: Texans do it better. And by "it" I mean everything.

Miss Texas won Miss USA 2008.
We rock.
That is all.

LOLing @ 7-Eleven

If you're wondering why my blog is all over the place just look at my purchases from 7-Eleven made at 11:15pm after a lovely episode of Eli Stone. Lucky Magazine w/ 'too good for Heroes' Ali Larter, Orangina, & Lotto scratch off tickets. Classy? You betcha!

A Pom a Day Keeps the Doctor Away-Jamie Bamber

Jamie Bamber is redonculously frakking hot.

A Pom a Day Keeps the Doctor Away-Alex Pettyfer

I, like 300 million other Americans, missed Alex Rider:Stormbreaker when it was in theaters. But thanks to cable I can right that past wrong. Quick Review: Hilariously ridiculous. I seriously could not stop laughing. Especially when Alicia Silverston was on screen. Oh how the mighty have fallen! But luckily it wasn't a waste of time beacuse it stars two of my favorite hotties ever: Ewan McGregor & Bill Nighy. And it introduced me to a new hottie: Alex Pettyfer. And he just turned 18 today so this is (now) not a crime.

NYCC Preview: 'Moonlight' Sonata

Jason Dohring and Alex O'Laughlin will be having a panel (and also a laugh) at NYCC next week. I previously wrote about my issues with Moonlight but I won't let those issues get in the way of seeing Mr. Logan Echolls and, by association, Mr.Holly Valance.

A Pom a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

The Ministry of Health @ Pop Colony would like to introduce a new initiative.
Super simple concept: a hot English guy every single day. Because looking at hot guys is good for your health.

The inaugural pommie:
GQ UK recently named Daniel Craig the Best Dressed Man in the UK. That's good and all but I really prefer Mr.Craig when he's not dressed.

WTF Moments in Pop Culture: Will Chalker @ #34 on is unacceptable

Will Chalker is #34 on list of the top 50 models. That means that there are 33 "better" male models. This cannot be true. And I, Pop Colony, will prove it scientifically for the sake of all that is good in the world.

Exhibit A:
He's gone down the runway with a frakkin baby tiger in his hands.
Exhibit B:
Expertly pulls off a cowboy hat without resorting to irony.
Exhibit C:
I didn't even know Paco Rabanne was still around. But now I am indebted to them for providing the best window dressing for Sears on Robson ever.

I rest my case.
So get your act together and put Will in his rightful place at #1.

Tiny TinTin

According to the Guardian the kid from Love Actually/Nanny McPhee (or for the geekery- two eps of Doctor Who last season) has been cast as everyone's favorite Belgian for the TinTin Triology (god I love me some alliteration!). I'm not sure what to think except that I guess Freddie Highmore was asking for too much money. But seriously I can't believe the boy is almost 18! I swear he still looks like a fetus.

On the other hand, I guess I'm also feeling blah over the news since many moons ago I heard a rumor that Jamie Bell was in the front running since TinTin is being directed by his Billy Elliot director- Stephen Daldry. And you know how I feel about Jamie Bell. Did you see "Dear Wendy". I didn't think so.

[BTW: I'm really surprised that I haven't seen this reported/debated all over the comics blogs yet. I guess it's too Euro for North American fanboys.]

Frakkin Awesome!-Brad Paisley is a BSG Fanboy

Dear Brad,
I really didn't have of an opinion of you up until I saw the BSG:Phenomenon special the other day. And well you're frakkin awesome. Out of all the people interviewed I felt that you were the most fanboyish. Which is quite an acheivement considering celebrated geeks Joss and Seth Green were also interviewed. So I commend you, Brad, for showing that BSG love is not only for the mom's basement dwellers but also for stupidly rich country stars.

I hope not!

NYCC Preview- In the Presence of The Divine NPH

Oh and how can I forget to mention that the divine Neil Patrick Harris is also going to be in attendance.
Which means pretty much two things:
1)not-so-subtle STALKING

NYCC Preview-The Big Pommie

So part of the movie/tv schedule is up for New York Comic Con. And there is definitely going to be some serious Pommie love during the Narnia:Prince Caspian panel with Ben Barnes and William Moseley. See you there!
